I parked the truck in the garage tonite and went into the house. 10 minutes later had to go back out to the garage to get something out of the freezer and noticed a glow coming from inside the truck. The EVIC in the middle of the dash is still backlit and the two horizontal lines are still there, No info is displayed but the dash definetley hasn't powered all the way down. Checked 30 minutes later and same situation. Double checked all the doors are shut and key is removed from the truck.
Anybody else have a similar situation or any ideas what is going on?
Truck is a 2011 3500 srw laramie longhorn diesel.

When's the last time ya took it in for service? Just might be a TSB update waiting for ya.

Just went a few rounds with the dealer about a month and a half ago, issues with egr, dpf, o2 sensors and software updates.

I had a similar experience when my '09 forgot to turn off the radio when the door was opened. I figured that I would have needed a re-flash or new TIPM, but I solved it by disconnecting the batteries for a while... No problems for the last 5 years BTW :)

Last one I had found an aftermarket amplifier tied into the vehicle in the wrong spot keeping the cluster awake. If I recall correctly if you opened the door before shutting off the ignition it didn't do it.

An update to my problem: Went out the next morning, and the battery still had enough juice to start the truck. Made a run into town and did some errands. When I made it back home I shut the truck off and it all powered down like it was supposed to. The problem came back again a few days later, but I have figured out that if I shut the key off before I open the door, I don't have the problem.
