I just replaced my lift pump today and discovered on an inspection that my ex. manifold is cracked big time between the 3-4 cyl. the middle piece between that is bolted to the turbo housing. I am wondering if this would be under warranty or a recall? I have just turned 110,000mi but I beleive its been cracked for 8-10 months which would make it under warranty. Any thoughts or suggestions as I am giong to the dealer in the AM. I have a pretty good dealer so I am hoping to get it fixed.

If I cant hasd anyone used the ATS( Adanced Turbo Systems) three piece header? It looks pretty cool! Thanks Dave:confused:

You are S.O.L. if you have 110,000mi on your truck...

The stock manifold is an absolute P. O. S. ! Mine was cracked when I bought my truck... I was dumb enough to put another stock manifold on as a replacement. You definitely can't go wrong by getting the ATS. I wish I did! IMHO, the our exhaust manifolds fall right in line with the lift pumps: They are garbage! I wish DC would wake up! #@$%!

Shouldn't be a problem with a good dealer and no records of visits after the warranty period.

If he takes care of you, take care of him!

I got one no problem on warranty but the ATS is a lot better set up.

Give Piers a call if you go shopping.

Thanks for the replies. i am torn between the stock one even if they offer it to me on warranty. I dont want to be replacing it again and I plan on selling the truck to my son so dont want to give him problems. I might just spring for the ATS system it looks pretty cool just like the big Cummins I understand. Thanks again, Dave:)

DEZLPWR, The exhaust man. is cumminsproduct, not DC's. I changed mine to the ATS at 150K, just for preventive maint. , its not cracked. Have 2 neighbors with 95 and 96 with over 200K on both, and have their original, with no cracks.

I replaced mine at 100k or so. Would have done it sooner if I knew what a difference in performance and exhaust temps. Way worth the $$$$.
