ISSPRO EVII Gauge Issue

I just got my new transfer case from Transfer Case Express. $995 bucks is a good deal on new 241DHD's. The local stealer wanted $1500 for a recon'd unit and i needed a core! $995 and no core on a new one is awesome. If anybody is in need, there website is www.transfercaseexpress.com They are in California, and shipped mine to maryland for only 45bucks.

Silly question , but what happened to your transfer case ?

There is really not a whole lot of people been talking about grenading them or anything , and I'm wondering what their weaknesses are ?

Thanks

For Fun !

That sounds like a fun litttle project. How is it going ?

It sounds like your done..... did you take any pics. Did you use the factory hubs and axles? What did the conversion cost? Does it look stock? The reason I ask is if you were looking for a 4x4 but a good deal comes along and it is 2 wheel drive... ... ... ... . should you pass it up?:)

Chipstien, It really was'nt very hard to do, and could of been done for probably half the cost of the way i did it. I picked up an ext. cab 95 with 300,000 miles for $4300 bucks in Florida, but my plans were to redo everything so that was a steal. I used a reverse rotation D-60 with manual Warn lockout hubs, and leafsprings. It does'nt look stock what so ever. I'm going to get a camera and hope to get some pics up by this weekend.

2wd to 4wd conversion

I'm really interested in the process of converting my 95 reg cab long wb from 2 wd to 4wd. I have a 5 sp NV4500 trans. I don't want to buy another truck is it less expensive to convert or just buy another truck? Can a transfer case be bolted up to the NV4500? What axle do I use? Can the existing brakes be used?

This is the only thread I could find on this and F8LDOSE said he would have pics would like to see them if possible.

thanks all.

Wow.....

I've been thinking of converting mine to 2WD. Can this be done?. I've used the dam thing maybe twice. I'll give the dam thing away (Tcase) if someone wants to do the work!!, and or give me what I need. I'm really noy interested in changing out the axel though.

Dont really take it offroad at all. My 99 I used much more offroad.

You guys have noticed when this thread was started, right ??

Hey MMeier, yes I did notice that's why I said "This is the only thread I could find on this and F8LDOSE said he would have pics would like to see them if possible. " Thought F8LDOSE might still be around but I guess not.

Does this mean no one has converted a 2wd to 4wd on this forum?

I do not think that Jason(F8LDOSE) is a member here on the TDR anymore(the last time he was on was early in 09 according to his profile). He has sold all of his Cummins parts and projects and moved on to building performance BMW's the last I have heard... ... Andy
