Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Excessive white smoke from Crank Case Breather Tube

Hello all... recently I have noticed excessive white smoke coming from under the engine. A while back, I did away with the Puker Bottle mounted in front of the engine and ran a 6' piece of hose from where the outlet port exits... I then ran the hose back along the left side of the engine where it now comes out just behind the front axle. In the past, I have noticed some white smoke venting from the hose after I have ran the engine hard but now, it smokes all the time. I also now observe what sounds like an air leak coming from the back part of the engine.

Anybody have any idea what might be causing this?
