Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Exh Question

does my 99 have a cat on it??? I just went out & looked @ it, & it does look like there is a cat in front of the Muffin, but I did not think that diesels had cats. I dunno why not, but I just did not think that they did.



is there as much restriction in the diesel cats as an auto cat??? I would guess that the same applies to these cats as a regular gas engine in that your not supposed to take them off unless they are failed & then only to replace them with an authorized replacement???

It is a resonator & yes they do require them to be in place, but we've all got rid of that restriction long ago.
