Hello, I'm a new member that needs help please, I have a 1998 12v. K&N filter modified air box straight exh. cam plate slid forward a little ,screw on back of afc housing turned in a little. Runs great at 30# of boost but my exh. temp is way to high. I live at 8,500 feet and work at 11,500 feet. Just can't use the full potential of the power, thanks, brian

Brian,INHO it seems to me that you're maybe expecting too much of your truck. You didn't say how many miles it takes you to climb those 3000 feet, but knowing Colorado I'll bet it isn't many. A Psycotty Air unit will lower your EGTs 100-150,or your cat could be pluging, other than that you might need to back off on the throttle or downshift. Welcome to the TDR,if the brains here can't fix it it's unfixable!

It is only 13 miles to work, It does not have a muffler or a cat, it only makes high egts when under full throtle. I thought going with a different turbo housing might help out some, how much is the pyscotts air system. would a new cam plate give me more hp, at the elevation that i'm at. The truck has 50,000 on it. thanks for your help.
