I currently have MBRP Cool Duals on my truck (See signature below for specs on my truck). I love them, the performance, the sound, and cooler EGT's. However, my muffler just fell apart last week! I have about 50,000 miles on the exhaust, and it has been in service for about 3 yrs. now.

I called MBRP and they said they would send me a new one... . No questions and no proof needed. They do stand behind their product! Now to my question.

I have been wanting to go with stacks for awhile now, but I am wondering how load they really are? Can you give me a comparison to the Cool Duals I am running now? I ask this, because MBRP will sell me a stack set-up for VERY cheap if I want to change out my exhaust. I am very please with their customer service!

Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks Again!

It is good to hear that mbrp backed your muffler. Mine let go about a month ago with about 60k on it. I buttted it back up and ran a bead around the old weld. [temp]. The factory weld was very poor @ best and the mufler is not very thick.

It will be louder. I had the cool duals, then went to stacks and the drone was worse with the stacks. Its your call, i tow with my truck so the drone was a major issue for me. I tried many different mufflers with my stacks, and the mbrp was the worst i. m. h. o. and i loved the dynomax the best. I also have a reg cab so the drone was worse for me but since you have a quad cab you might be ok.

Good info, thanks! At what RPM's did the drone become a problem? I am so torn of what to do. My only concern is the noise in the back seat for the kids. I could care less how load it is for me... . That is what the stereo is for... LOL! Seriously, I do tow on a regular basis too, so drone could be an issue.

Anyone else?
