This has happened twice this week, the clips to the intercooler have basically blown them selves loose! Could the entry way on the intercooler be blocked somehow? Building up too much pressure? Is there anyway to verify this ? The other day I had to push it to pass someone and a loud pop occurred , the clip just below the turbo slid off. I seem to have an accumulation of fluid around that joint, condensation? 2nd question . What effect would just having a straight thru exhaust have on back pressure? Is it possible that the muffler is blocked somehow and causing a build up of pressure? I have a 97' 5 speed 4x4, with a 11# plate in it. If I step on it ,the turbo will easily pass 30 psi in fourth & fifth, I backed off the star wheel , hardly any smoke but seems to be a little more sluggish. Need a little insight from the folks at

" have Dodge , eat 'em up and :-laf spit them out".

thanks for your help, James up in Canada

Not uncommon for the inlet boot at the cooler to come loose with higher than normal boost. Wouldn't think there is a restriction. Fix it with performance boot kit available from piers and other places.
