Depending on how much/heavy you tow. But first you need to beef up your stock transmission or you'll fry it. Fill out your signature, makes it easier to answer questions like theses.

The problem with an exhaust brake and an automatic transmission is that there is no retarding force from the transmission. This is because when you lift the torque convertor clutch (TCC) lets go and the engine drops to idle. Thus you need some way to force the TCC to stay locked in that situation. If you do that, the exhaust brake works fine. However, there are problems. If you install a manual lockup switch, it will void your warrantee. Of course, if you are already out of warrantee that is not a problem. There are problems with using a manual switch and you can damage your transmission if it is abused. DTT makes a TC smart controller that will provide lockup for brakeing and avoid other problems with TCC lockup.
