Is this a common thing? Every now and then my EB will be on when its not activated...It does not happen often, and when it does I just toggle thru the button and its fine goes back to normal.....Mine is a 2014 2500 with 13k miles

I have a 2013 and it does this also. It seems to do it when doing more city driving. I though maybe pressure builds up and it needs a release but I am not sure.

I have not had any problems with the EB coming on by itself. As previously mentioned, there are two EB settings: Manual and auto. When either is engaged you should get a EB Icon on your EVIC.

The EB will engage under certain conditions regardless of manual setting, If the exhaust sensors detect Low temps the system will engage the EB, (When Stopped or no APPS detected) if extreme cold and the system needs to Active Regen it will engage the EB and Shut the EGR, " same conditions" ( the EGR is ALWAYS SHUT WHEN EB ENGAGE'S) both my Rams have NEVER engaged the EB when hooking up, and I hook and re-hook several times a day occasionally. Hoefler how did you manage that?

My EB is in manual on mode 24/7. Stays that way with out turning off when key is turned off like the tow/haul mode button does.

Its only done it 2-3 times in 13k miles...Temps down here have been upper 90 to mid 70`s as of lately....So no extreme cold...It not a big deal to me, just sort of takes me by surprise when I lift off the pedal and the truck brakes lol

My 2014 Laramie Cummins 6 speed manual (under 1000 miles) started acting up when the EB would not turn off. The dealer could not duplicate the problem. Now the EB engages at idle and while driving with out being turned on. Cold engine not an issue, the block heater was plugged in so the engine was warm. I should note that I switched EVIC to the turbo screen and noticed that turbo boost was showing abnormal performance. Back to the dealer and hope that the additional info. will help them identify and correct this problem. I will post a follow up later.

I noticed it on my new 14, hook a trailer up, it shuts off the park assist and turns the EB on full.
