First cpyle welcome to the TDR!

I know if you use the search function and input "exhaust brake" you will get plenty of info to help you make your decision of which brake to purchase.

My favorite brand is the Pac-Brake, it uses a compressor and it is activated only when the e-brake is on. The other choice is Jacobs it works very well too, though it does use a vacuum pump and it runs whenever the engine is running. We have seen a few of these vacuum pumps wear out at around 60-80k miles.

The only complaint that I have with my Standard Pac-Brake is I wish I had the PRXB. This version works alot better than the Jacobs and the standard Pac-Brake.

Try a search for the PRXB too.

These brakes are pretty easy to install, I hate to see anyone pay a shop rate of 4-6 hrs to get one of these installed. If you would like I could help you with the install, I live 30 miles South of you.

Let me know if you need any help and one other word of advice, PM member Jelag, he is a good honest guy and a PacBrake Distributor he will give you a very fair price quote.
