Exhaust Brake Question

Hi, I'm Jim the new guy on the block and was wondering if anybody could help me with an exhaust brake question. Is an exhaust brake safe to use on

an automatic transmission... . the truck's an '05 600?

It wont be of much use without a switch to lock up the torque converter. I have one on my 2001 auto & it works great.

If you go to www.dieseltrans.com you'll find alot of good info on useing an exhaust brake with an automatic.
