Hey Guys

Having some issues with the turbo on the mega cab.

The truck has 120,000 miles now and the exhaust break seems to stick when under load. If the break is engaged with no trailer, in say 6th gear, it acts normal.

But when you have a trailer behind you, and you stick it into say 3rd, while going down a hill, then the brake won't turn off when you get back on the throttle. Even when you hit the exhaust brake off button, it keeps running for anywhere in the ball park of 15-30 seconds.

What gives? I have full 34 psi boost still and I am not down on power. Pyro still reads fine.

I have had a few times the CEL saying turbo boost pressure not detected (oddly this ONLY happens when the e brake is running, never under full throttle.) so went to the dealer and had them do the vane flush procedure but still have the issue.

Thoughts? Is it turbo replacement time? Is it the actuator that is just weak from use? Anytime the truck runs the e brake is ALWAYS on so maybe it is worn out?

What about replacements? The dealer says all Mopar turbos are remans. Are they still offered new somewhere?

Help!

Thanks.

Robert
