hi , my 06 just arrived ,the dealer is going to install the e-brake tomorrow. where did you install the switch, i read the instructions , but they always showed the 6-speed. if anyone has a auto with the e-brake please post a pic or explain where you put it. thanks a lot, Joe.

The switch will be put on the shifter. My dealer installed mine their and did a really nice job. A lot of people seem to complain about the location but I actually prefer it to be there. I dont have a pic but you could probably do a search to find one.

I see they put a lot of effort to make the switch a seemless integration into the vehicle's interior and not a complete afterthought.

Many people say I can be a bit sarcastic. I'm sorry, that's so cheesy looking! :--)

E-brake Switch Location

I downloaded the installation manual for the e-brake from the Dodge website a couple of weeks ago for my new 06 CTD QC LWB that I ordered. The manual is about 28 pages long and shows that on the six speed transmission the switch is located on the shift lever about 2 inches down from the top of the shift lever that is mounted on the floor.

On the automatics, the pictures show the switch is mounted on the shift lever and is located about 2 inches away from the end of the lever by the tow/haul switch.

I can't find the link for the manual at the moment, but it was on the www.Dodge.com website.
