Tried Redding diesel shop they do this kind of work, I am sure when I was there there was several choices, you maybe could use the button in gear shift knob from Geno's garage. Oo.

I have the shift mounted switch. Personally, I don't like it, but I am not at all into the big-rig wannabe look either. It is handier than a swtch on the dash, but I have a friend with one mounted under the steering coulumn. I guess it helps to have two hands on the wheel or something?

Try the switch from Pac-Brake. It isn't overbearing like the red pull handle switch. It's black & most people don't even notice it, until I use it.

The replacement switches are $4. 00 at Autozone (Pilot is the brand). They have a red or blue led. I haven't had to change one in 40,000 miles & I use the brake everytime I stop.

I took the switch that came with my brake that was suppose to go into the dash, put a bracket on it and mounted it to the side of the shifter. It has been there for three years and works great.

I got mine from Napa a few years ago. It is a Balkamp Push Pull Switch. It has a part number similar to PPxx. You will also need the Electrical Harness that goes with it. It has a part # something similar to EC-22. I am sorry I can not remember the #, I bought it about 5 years ago.

It is a standard 2 speed rear-end switch (the red push pull type switch). I got the holder from a friend of mine who works as a fleet mechanic at a local Dairy (they have many trucks there).

I don't think the switch cost all that much, maybe $20, but the electrical connector cable did cost more than the switch, maybe $35. The cable is a nice high-quality cable, designed to connect to the PP switch.

It worked out very nice.

BD's website has them, or try cyclone diesel.com, or Jegs. BD is the most common brand But really spendy. about 60-70 bucks. Its red push/pull with aluminum braket and cable is attached to run to exhaust brake switch. I just bought mine last week from Orangevale diesel, in orangevale, ca paid 65$ and had to order it. I suggest finding one of the cheap non brand name ones, they all work well and last long.

I got a red switch (square mount) at radio shack and put it into the dummy button by the overdrive lockout switch. Easy to reach and square size is almost identical to the button size. Only problem was the light is 110v vice 12v so it doesn't light up.

The PacBrake rocker switch is the one I have also. You can buy direct from them for around $35 I think.....

Geno's has that neat little shift knob with a button built right into it and the wires run down the shifter tubing and out below the dash somewhere out of sight. I have been thinking about that as well. (I hate having wires and crap running everywhere).

Does anybody have one of those? How do you like it?

I have actually seen one on the floor too. It was a push button similar to the old school bright switch only bigger and mounted next to the brake pedal. It was on a '99 or '00 2wd automatic dually in Arizona. If I remember right, it had pac brake's brand on it... .

has anybody else seen one?

For those into the big rig look, enjoy the push pull switches. I still like my almost invisible Pac-Brake switch.

Someone mentioned mounting the switch that came with the brake. The reason I decided I didn't want to use that switch constantly is: The Cummins dealer told me they were $125. 00 and about 2 weeks to get. I don't know of you have my luck, but my luck would be the switch breaking the night before a long trip with my 5th wheel.

I can carry a couple of spares in a very small package in my ashtray.
