2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission exhaust brake

I just bought a 99 diesel yesterday so I'm back driving a diesel again . . I have an exhaust brake that came off a 2001 diesel truck. It was one that was installed by the dealer so I think it is a jacobs brake will this brake fit on my 99 or will I need a different brake. Also I don't have any of the instructions for the brake how hard is this brake to install. If anyone has any advice or instructions I would appreciate the info.
