Exhaust size

So what's the final word on the size of the exhaust? I remember when the trucks were first announced they said it was going to be a 4 inch exhaust but I think someone said it turned out to be 3 inch. What is it? Thanks.

It's been posted in a number of threads that despite the pre-launch hype of it being a 4" all the way through, the exhaust is actually a combination of 3. 5" and 4" pipe. Better than the 2nd gens, but not true 4".

e brake

does any body know if there is a choice between the two or

if only optional on ho and standard ctd. and more importantly how much are they, only because the dealer would love to make alot of money off that item.

The exhaust on my truck starts out with the 4" turbo but then emmediataly is reduced to 3. 5" all the way to the muffler. Exiting the muffler it's 4". I feel like Dodge has pulled one over on me.

Exhaust Brake Price

Talked to the dealer today. E-brakes are still on back-order and are $840. 00 US. Installation is extra.

There was a post here somewhere about the cost being $299 and only selling them to people with fleets, Combination license etc. but the Dodge people don't seem to know anything about this and will sell them to anybody with $.

Sorry JGilbert but the dealer told me he only had a part number for the manual trans. and that there was no kit for the auto. Hopefully that will all change with the fabled 48E.

Sorry but I didn't get a p/n. I think my brain froze up when I heard that price. A friend of mine just got a new medium duty Kenworth w/ 8. 3 CD and the E-brake was only $600, so thats kinda what I expected. :--)

e-brake

just got back from dealership, as everyone says the dealer has no idea what their talking about. I told them the e-brake was $840 list, $299 w/incentive. They said no idea what i'm talking about, while waiting for them to come back and tell me $3,000

over invoice was best they could do I found this little book on

incentives. Plain as day states $799 list $500 incentive $299

final cost. Of course they looked at each other like OOPS!

As I was walking out I told them I'll see them when i come to pick

up my new truck on a courtesy delivery, I just called Deanna@

bossier country. I'll let you know how that goes later on.

Unless they changed the rules, the incentive was only for commercial customers. It is a heck of a deal. I checked on it and my dealer called D/C and I got nixed. I think the name of the program is "On the job" and you have to have a business to qualify. :{
