Exhaust Break

Is the exhaust break that comes from Dodge with our trucks a manual break that can be turned off when you dont want it on???

Or is it on all the time. ??????????

Yes my jocabs exhaust brake I had installed from the dealer has a "off" position just like the earlier models.

The new design needs its own air supply to actuate the brake which makes it more expensive. I know that when you turn it on to warm it faster it will turn itself off when the temperature comes up.

Jacobs or exhaust?

So, is what you are talking about the 'jacobs' brake, like on big trucks or is it an exhaust brake?



Jacobs adjusts the valve opening timing if I remember right, and exhaust brakes are a valve that causes your

exhaust to be restricted... right?
