Are the Stainless Steel band clamps with the 'step' the best for using on the Jardine System, and how many do I need? I found some at a local truck parts place for $9 something each.

Thanks, Ron

The band clamps work great, with them you get no crimp on the pipe , this enables you to later take the system apart, they work good on the joints evan when one pipe fits inside the other as the band will simply streach a bit more on the bigger OD side, I highly recommend them.

The jardine setup with a muffler will require 4 band clamps, but now that I think of it the Jardine U clamps are also used as hanger brackets... ... ... ... ... ... they come with the kit, I talked with Jerry a bit ago and they had the 4" on sale for 399, it is a good system and installe is cake... ... ... ... ... . Thanks Kevin, I have already ordered my Jardine Kit from Jerry, it should be here sometime next week. I saw that the clamps came with his kit but I thought I could put his clamps next to the band clamps so the hangers would work. At least that was my brain storm, I hope it will work that way. Tighten the hanger clamps tight but not to deform the pipe and then maybe double nut the hanger clamps so they would not come loose. Maybe.

They won't come loose if properly tightened the first time. It usually takes longer to get the old exhaust off than to get the Jardine on.
