Exhaust cut too short

I finally broke down and ordered a muffler elimination kit from Geno's. Call me careless, but I eyeballed the fit and cut the muffler out with my sawzall. When I tried to put the new pipe in place, I realized that it's about 3 inches too short #@$%! Has anyone else made this dumb mistake? Are there any 4 inch pipe adapters out there? Places like Advance and AutoZone don't carry any pipe that large? Thanks

Try NAPA, I've bought 5'' pipe from them.

NAPA is the answer

You might first check out the band clamps at Napa. They're only about 4" long however. If that won't do, Napa does have all sorts of adaptors available that should make the connection. If you want to be able to easily separate the connection, use band clamps on each end of the adaptor... . John

Walker muffler and others offer "sleeve adapters" that will cover the distance and go over or inside the existing pipe ends. They are available in all combinations of 4" outside diameter (OD) and 4" diameter inside diameter (ID). Go to a truck equipment store.
