Exhaust drone

Do any of you that have straight pipes have a drone problem at any particular rpm? If so, what rpm? I have had it with the noisy drone at 2200 - 2500 rpm that I have with my muffler. If there is no problem with a straight pipe, I think I will go that way. JConley, are you out there. I remember what your truck sounded like from behind but I can't remember if it was loud inside the cab.

Oh YEAH!!! Terrible harmonics... . when empty, around 65mph, when loaded: all the time. Looking to do a muffler soon.

I wrapped my exuast with thermotec tape and the drone went away! Or I am deafened to it!

Walker for me.

I just installed a Walker 21468 thru flow muffler, it's 3 inch and sounds great. Still quiet in the cab and not real loud at the tail pipe, just a better tone. Without the cat you can really hear the turbo from the outside. Now the turbo winds up faster and I get a couple more #s of boost. Just my experience so far. Seems to "breath" better
