have any of you had exhaust fumes at low speed with the air conditioner ? only at low speed and seems to be during regin. sometimes it is their and then its not.
Yes, I have smelled the fumes as well during regen. Its about the only time the truck has ever smelled like a diesel. Now that I think about it I haven't smelled it in a while, maybe since the latest reflash at least.
It happens when you come to a stop when the system is in the middle of a regen. It smells like charcoal lighter fuel burning. It is being sucked into the HVAC system. I notice it if the wind is blowing from behind. Just switch the HVAC to recirc and it will go away quickly. Also if you stay stopped for more than a minute it will usually drop out, or if you throw it in park.
I have experienced this exhaust smell also and wondered if it was due to a leak in the system or the exhaust brake. I will try some of the things mentioned and hope the smell will go away.
