Just installed an Autometer EGT gauge and was curious as to what the normal temps should be, and what is the point that I don't want to go beyond?

It's a 93 bone stock with auto trans

Thanks,

I had an AutoMeter Sport, it gave up the ghost so DOC replaced with an AutoMeter something or other he sells lots of, it's a white face, same temp range. Anyway I've learned the hard way not to look at 1,250 very long. In fact I start backing out of it when I get near 1,200. Nothing wrong with downshifting and sitting on 2,000 revs going up a hill with a load as far as I'm concerned. Even as gentle and slow as I drive. . . right now my Ram is sitting in line at Rocky Mountain Truck Service, Great Falls, MT. I decided to take a bus home for the weekend, gotta pat momma on the fanny and kiss the baby once in a while. I'm old, but not that old. Reason I'm not hauling is seems my right rear duallies left the truck again. Road angels were with me, didn't kill myself or anybody else. If you know anybody's got a spare used ton dually rear axle for sale shoot me an email. I'll come get it with my Ford. Don't know how others feel about max EGT's but my personal max gets lower the more I haul. Heat my friend, it kills my trucks.
