I just installed my EGT meter but had to do it post turbo due to objections by my dealer due to warrentee. I will move it after the warrentee is up. Can some one tell me what is normal for a stock 96 with an auto and 60,000 miles. I am getting about 500 to 550 post turbo, unloaded going down the highway at about 60, with about 3 pounds of boost. When I am on the surface streets I am getting about 400 and about 2 or so pounds of boost.

Also I hear that Dodge updated its shifting programming for in late 1996 or so. My truck does not seem to have a lot of power and I heard that Dodge did something to the transmission computer programming to help this because they got a lot of complaints. My dealer is being very evasive when I ask him about it.

Any help you guys can give would be appreciated.

They, by law, cannot object to the addition of gauges that monitor... and help prevent catastrophes due to excessive EGTs. Get a hold of the Magnusson-Moss warranty act and shove it in their faces. Drill the manifold and see what's really going on. Post turbo... . there's too much falsification of the reading from the turbine blowing the gas through.
