I saw that on a later model truck than mine, there was a heat shield around one of the exhaust sensors. Would this assist my trucks emissions working better? If so, would heat shielding wrap work from the turbo back to the DPF to assist in better or less regenerations? A local dodge mechanic said one reason our emissions are having a hard time is becuase the DPF is so far back and on the diesel cars they are close to the engine and get more heat just running.
Just wondering, I would like to keep all the emissions stuff, but my warranty ran out last month and I have already received a new DPF, EGR, and turbo at various times with only 30k miles now and don't want to pay for them myself. I know I am in not using the truck enough, but I need it for pulling my travel trailer a few times a year and really enjoy it for that.
Thanks,
Chris
