Exhaust Hiss.............

I Had a Jacobs Exhaust Brake installed by the dealer a week ago, now when I turn the switch on, I get a loud hiss coming form the area of the Brake or exhaust . Is this normal with an exhaust brake Any advice appreciated, Sarge

I get it also. I notice it more on the truck I have now than on the 2001. 5 SWB I had earilier. My new truck has a sliding rear windows, and I've heard that that increases the noise. Can anyone confirm this?
