HI, i have a question about my manifold cover. when i bought my truck

i noticed the engine had like an oil coating on it, now after 13,000 i also

noticed that that oil coating turned dark brownish on the exhaust cover

and some parts of the manifold that hook to the head and part of my

turbo charger. . i am just wandering if the EGT'S went up or

is this normal any info will be greatly appreciated.

i want to say this TDR MEMBERSHIP is awsome i get tons of information

i never thought i would get anywhere.

There is a paint clear-coat on the engine. Your manifold must have gotten really hot to burn the coating brown. I've seen a lot of 98. 5-2002 24 valve engine turbo compressor housings (they were clear coated, whereas 12 valves were painted black so you can't see anything) with the clear coat turned brown.
