exhaust manifold gaskets - multilayer

I'm getting ready to sell my truck (well, trade it really) and want to put the stock turbo/exhaust manifold back on.



I have some of the OEM multi-layer metal exhaust manifold gaskets but not all. Would it be best to order 6 new ones? With the ATS I used a single metal gasket but I would assume that's not a good idea with the stock manifold since it came with the multi-layer ones.



Anyone have the cummins part #s for the 2005 multi-layer gaskets?

Using my '06 vin I come up with (6) of 3955339 for the manifold gasket.

Should sell for 9. 00 to 11. 50 each depending on your local pricing.

Either will work fine, just use a full set of either, don't mix and match.

single layer are cheaper; I keep a few sets of them around and use them with all 24 valve engines, including 2004. 5 up.

Are the multi-layers ones any better? I used the single layer when i put the ATS on, but was tempted to use the multi-layer when I put the stock manifold back in. Should I save the money and just go with the single layer ones?

I haven't noticed any difference in their effectiveness. Perhaps it has to do with the long term?
