Just noticed a major exhaust leak coming from the #1 manifold to head flange joint. #@$%!

The rear half of the metal gasket is missing, causing exhaust gas to blow out onto the #2 flange/port area. Problem is I have a job scheduled for tomorrow which requires towing my equipment up a fairly steep mountain road. Question is this... ... ..... would the leaking exhaust gas be a underhood fire hazard, as nearby there is oil from leaking rocker covers on the cylinder head.

I had planned on replacing the stock "shrinking" manifold with a 3 piecer when time allowed Project may now have to be moved to the top of the list. I'm hoping it can wait a few days. What do you guys think?

I don't think the exhaust leak will create a fire hazard. That is only my opinion and I do not and can no know with certainty.

Be sure you allow plenty of cab fresh air ventilation. You don't want exhaust gas poisoning or asphyxiation.
