Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Exhaust manifold R&R

Time for a new manifold due to excessive shrinkage. My search shows ATS and HTT as favorites. Any advice with regard to vendor and experience with these manifolds will be much appreciated. Installation tips? Thanks.

Check eBay, there's pretty good deals to be found.



I got mine for $425 shipped with all the gaskets included.

Start soaking the old bolts with PB Blaster, or something similar now. Repeat daily til your new manifold comes in, then spray one last liberal dose right before removing them. The machine shop that milled my head hit the bolts square with a hammer, then broke them loose with an impact wrench. None of them broke, and it had shrunk about 1/8" overall. Of course, the head being on the tailgate of my buddy's pickup helped immensely, but still not a bad idea.

Do what Dan suggested. Works wonders. I replaced mine for the same reason. Only had 2 straight bolts. Didn't break any.

The HTT manifold wasn't out when I bought my ATS. Have seen them since, and I don't think you can go wrong with either one. Both are really nice pieces.
