Does anyone know or know where I can find the torque #'s for tightening the exhaust manifold bolts on a 98 24 v? I had one that backed out and wanted to tighten it and recheck the rest of them.

Thanks in advance

Kent,

The specs are in the Dodge service manual. It is either 30 or 32--I don't remember without going out and looking it up.

The later model 2001. 5 trucks have a lock on the exhaust manifold bolts. If you want to install them on your engine, the Dodge part number is 05072387AA and cost around $3 each. I'll bet the same thing is available from a Cummins distributor for less. I haven't checked with them.

Bill,

Thank you for the reply so quick. I think that I will try to buy one of these manuals. Looks like it would be a good thing to have in the glove box. my truck has 105 K on it and will not be traded till at least 800 K &*^^%$&^)(*)&^. I will go and get the locks so I won't have it hapen again.
