Exhaust system kaput

Well, my exhaust system finally crapped out... . that means time for an upgrade!!

After reading a lot of archived messages, I've contacted Rip Hook to see what his delivery on his 4 inch system will look like.

I'll compare his to whatever Janetty comes up with for a comparable product. He's local so I'll give him the opportunity.

I've got the Rip Rook system on my truck now. Without muffler, of course It looks good and fits well.

I decided to order the 4 inch Janetty system... a little more $ than Rip's after factoring shipping vs sales tax, but it comes with all the clamps and hangars supposedly.

With some luck I'll see it in time for the weekend.

I'll let youse guys know how it works out!

Once I get my truck up here at school with me, I'll take a few pics of my exhaust.



The pipe splits right behind the transmission and then I have chrome tips in front of both tires... . very spiffy.



I don't know how that would look with a regular bed though...

I like the Stan's I got, I have it dump in front of the rear wheel, it sticks out about as far as the locking hub on the front does, I am running the long straight through Donaldson now which makes the truck a little too civilized, I really liked the sound straight, I had to put on the muffler to be able to run at the dragway near here. I will say that with the muffler I can here the radio pretty well at highway speeds without cranking it way up...
