Exhaust???

Does anyone out there know of a compny making a 4" exhaust for the first generation trucks? I have checked the links on this BB but have only found 3. 5" exhaust. HELP!!!!

Full 4" from turbo back will require custom work. Nobody makes a pre-made one for our trucks. I'm currently running a rip rook system. I like it.

Sean do you like it. Also is there really much difference in the 3. 5 as oppose to the 4".

I have mine set up straight piped. It uses a 3" downpipe and then goes up to 4" around the transfer case and the rest of the way back. It sounds pretty good. I tried running it with a muffler, it was too quiet, so I took the muffler off. Dunno about that 3. 5 inch exhaust, I've not run one.

Bully Dog also has a 4" system for out trucks. Talked to them a few months back to clear up question of "cat-back" and they said it started 4" at bottom of down pipe. ANyone know if an elbow and 2nd gen DP would work? HAve yet to see the Buly Dog system, or Rip's for that matter. Have heard good things about Rip Rook's here on the BB. WHat ever came of the 4" DP someone was trying to guage interest in a few months ago?

3.5" Exhaust

I have a 3. 5" exhaust on my truck and like it. It is 3" mandrel bent around the transfer case and then 3. 5" mandrel bent rest of the way back. Of course it is straight pipedOo. I only have a max EGT of 1050 to 1100*F, but then I am not a wildman like Nascar Mark, Bush, or formula. My exhaust system came from Banks. Now knowing what I do, I think one of the same quality could be purchased for less money elsewhere. Hope this helps.

2nd gen downpipe is not a direct fit. Be it a 3" or a 4" downpipe. It will require cutting and welding to clear the firewall, frame, and trans crossmember.

Ya, I gotta change that hot end pretty quick... . I know why it's called "the hot end" too... ... . He11 I can fire pottery under that hood... .



Someone who shall remain nameless, pointed out all the razzing **HE** got when he was turning in some record EGT's a while back, now he looks at me and giggles himself sick... .

Hey what would happen if you took the front end of an HX 35 and bolted it to the front end of another one, and dumped the exhaust in to that ... ... I guess that would be like an HX70'ish or sumthin wouldn't it..... I realize we'd have to resolve some issues but hey, you guys can do it...
