Just some thoughts since I finished my turbo/intake/exhaust install. First and foremost, I'm glad its done. The term 'bolt-on' should be removed from any and all sales literature. I at times am a perfectionist, but will settle for it fits OK. The turbo drain had a bend that interferred with the actuator rod. The fix, cut tube from flange, thread for fitting, use braided stainless hose to give clearance. The exhaust, please don't raise your hand if yours wasn't just perfect either. Maybe if I wasn't on my back in my driveway getting comfortable in the mud and gravel it would have fit better. But it took my wife
coming out to help to get that done... she was even under the truck!!!!(how many of you have a wife that good?) The intake, real close but I always think something can be perfect. Now I have replaced most everything to get the air and fuel in and out in the most efficient manner and have the blood, mud and grumpy words to prove it. I wouldn't replace any of it for the experience. By the way, SOMEONE ELSE is doing the transmission next week!!
PS-I have to mention one other thing, if not for my brother's knowledge of turbos(works at Borg-Warner), and his lending a hand, it would have been much harder. It is nice to have more than two hands to get a five hand project done.
