I just got my 01 4x4 back from the dealer where they replaced the track bar. My question is, does anyone have the dodge extended warrenty (5yr/100k mile Diesel Wrap Around) and have had the track bar replaced. The dealer says it isn't covered under this warrenty. My papers seem to say otherwise.

Also, they told me it is normal for front brake pads to wear uneven. Right pads wear will wear out while there may be 30% left on the left.

Not sure about the Diesel Wrap Around warranty - depends if it is inclusive or exclusive. Does the warranty say it includes the following parts - XXXX, XXXXx, XXXX - specifically including the track bar NOT suspension control arms because DC has claimed the Track Bar is not a 'control arm' in the past. Or does the warranty say it includes all parts except the following - XXXX, XXXX, XXXX?

Ah yes :rolleyes: got to love it, you pay big bucks for the 100,000 bumper-to-bumper warranty and they still can say, "Uh, yea, well, kinda, sorta, were not sure, but it is not covered". :mad: Just more of the same old crud :( "Give us your money and we will let you know if we want too"

I make stuff out of steel for garden art, western art and house markers. Everything I make carries a lifetime warranty. As long as I am alive, I will cover it.

You would think that a car company would wise up and say "Yep, 100,000 is a 100,000 no matter what breaks, and we will cover it". Instead it is, well we have to find out or we don't cover it because of some clause or opinion by the service rep. And they have to wonder why the customer gets all peeved and buys brand X or Y :confused:

If DC would honor the warranty they sell to the letter and beyond, they would have so much business in sales, they would be # 1 instead of 3rd, 4th or where ever they are :-{}

Actually, in my case DC was going by the letter/word of the extended warranty that was purchased for the truck. DC does not classify the track bar as a control arm - of course, every engineer at DC would but the lawyers and bean counters don't. OTOH, my dad's truck with the 'higher level' extended warranty - the track bar was covered because it, the track bar, wasn't specifically excluded like the clutch or brake pads/shoes.

In the warrenty papers, they list a "trac bar" under the rear suspension parts that are covered as well as several other parts which I believe are front parts as well. Go figure... .
