Interesting Rodeo Movie from Early 50's

I have a 12/2 100' extension cord that needs the female end replaced. I got a high quality end for it and stripped the wires down, but which wires go in what holes? There is a green, black and white wire. Which one is the ground and do the other two matter which they go into? Thanks

The hot blade is narrow (black wire, gold screw), the neutral blade is wide (white wire, silver screw) and the ground is round (green wire, green or silver screw)

It is important to make sure you have the correct wires going to each screw, since most things have polarized plugs for a reason, and if you roll the two on your extension cord you could damage whatever you plug into it...
