2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Exterior door weatherstrip rust

Anybody in the Pacific Northeast have this problem? Every Ram I looked at before I bought mine had it, and mine also had the problem. Looks like the metal insert in the weatherstrip gets exposed to the elements near the door handle.

I'm wondering if there is somewhere else you can get these strips besides the dealer?

This is a very common problem. As far as I know they are dealer only parts. FWIW - Last time I bought them they were around $35 each.
