Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) External Fuel filter Prime

I have an external fuel filter mounted at the front of my truck. It uses a Fleetguard FS1240. It has a plastic bowl at the base. Do I prime this filter with fuel when I change it? If so, do I fill it to the top or ?

Yup, just fill it to the top.
