BOYCOTT DOMINOES, sneaky delivery charges

I've watched several episodes. It's amazing what they can accomplish in such a short amount of time.

Something I've wondered is, TAXES. How do they handle that? Most of the families don't look like they could afford paying the property taxes on the improvements, among others.

Also, what about getting building permits and inspections to make sure everything is up to code?

On the last one I saw, I know they didn't call the utility company before they dug some holes with the backhoe. Wound up hitting the water line and sewer to the house. Glad it wasn't the gas line. :--)

bmoeller, you echo my thoughts exactly. I tell my wife the same thing every week. Our taxes on our house are $1800. 00 per year and the insurance is $2058. 00. We don't have anything like what they turn those houses into. Then is the IRS going to tax the gift of the repairs as if they won the lottery ?
