I was just wondering which of the "plug and go" boxs is the best for the money, i would like to be able to smoke ANY powerstroke or dura crap te pulled up next to me but i am wanting a little bit better mileage so which one is the best for what i want to do, it will be pulling cow trailers and back hoes and what not also, what about the durability of the boxs?? how long do they last and will they void my warranty??

Hoss, all of the boxes are pretty good, and they are all about the same powerwise if you add a boost module to the BD/VA. I hate to tell you though but you are going to need more than just a minor fueling box to smoke any PSD that has been chipped and has a 4"exhuast. There are some chips on the market for the PSD now that will put 300HP plus to the ground, none of the minor boxes will do that to your Cummins. Just about any of the major boxes (PE, JVD, TST, etc) will though and yes the major boxes can void your warranty. A minor box and some injectors (DD2's and bigger) will make enough power to smoke a PSD with a hot chip. Just so you don't think we are at a disadvantage, the hot chips are in the same class as our major boxes and void the PSD owners warranty too, but only if you get caught is it a problem. I really don't think the duramax is much of a worry even with just a minor box as there are not very many if any hotrod parts on the market for them, but there are some PSD's out there that run very well.

Hoss, it sounds like you're looking for some serious horsepower. You may have already read this thread but, here's the link to one of the best discussions on proper BOMBing order https://www.turbodieselregister.com/ubb//Forum4/HTML/000248.html . You've got your gauges and are off to a good start. If you're gonna go beyond an EZ or equivalent, and you're gonna need to to meet your objectives, the transmission should be your next investment. Happy BOMBing #ad

If your worried about your warranty then the mild boxes that just plug in are the only ones you want until warranty is up. The mild boxes just plug in and if you take them off before going in for work on your truck you will be o. k. The major fueling boxes tap into a wire and if your dealer sees this nick in the wire they will void your warranty. I see you want to tow also and with the major fueling boxes you could run into high EGT's, not a good thing.
As far as durability of the boxes, well they are electronics and who knows could last 20 years or more, or could go out in less than a year, of course then it would be covered by manufactures warranty.
Consider the warranty issue it is worth more than trying to smoke a furd. besides turds I mean furds don't smoke well.

HossDiesel, the best one for the money is the EZ. No need to buy a boost module. It'll do for what you want it for. Just unplug if you ned warranty work. Takes just a few minutes. Add some DD injectors, and you'll have a sweet setup. Anymore, and your stock clutch isn't going to like it.
If interested in getting setup with a box and/or injectors, let me know. Pricing is very competitive on all the boxes and the DD injectors.
