Gentlemen,
I could use an assist. I attempted to swap out my stock boost elbow with the EZ boost elbow and was stumped and frustrated. I got the turbo intake hose off and the boost elbow hose off and tried to get at the stock elbow from the side of the truck, through the wheel well, underneath the truck and from the front of the truck, all to no avail. I tried different wrench sizes and socket sizes, I even tried to melt it off with repeated, blistering strings of dirty words, nothing worked. It appears to me that the lip of the turbo (where the silencer ring is located) and the little brass teat that the elbow hose connects to are conspiring with the frame rail, the shock tower and the height of this beast truck to ensure that the stock elbow stays in place. I could probably get the thing off in a minute with the turbo on a work bench, but damn I don't won't to take the turbo off and out...
Please give me some wrenchin' advice. Thanks.
