It took away from my low end and didn't help much in the temp department, so it is sitting in the Edge box on top of my tool box. Some people said I was crazy about loosing my low end, but I have a pay check betting different (with my truck at least)... Try it, you might loose your low end, then make the decision...

If I didn't have such a noticable difference on my low end loose I would probably still be running it.

Good luck,

Dave

I ran without (actually I have a hardline so i couldn't use the fitting) for quite sometime. Then added a turnbuckle. The only difference I noticed aside from higher boost pressure was my egts were lower with it on when pulling a long grade. Which was good enough reason for me to keep it since I do a lot of driving in the mountains here.

I am running with it. I have not notice any low end power lost but have not felt any power gain with it. I am still waiting on some gauge so i really haven't ran it hard. Will the ez elbow reduce exhaust temp???

I notice a number of responses are from 2nd generation folks like me. In my case, the boost elbow substantially lowered EGT's - mine were 1300 pre-turbo @ 21 PSIG boost stock; 1100 pre-turbo @ 30 PSIG boost with EZ and boost elbow. Of course, that's with an HX35W-12 turbo!

3rd generation ECM programming and turbo variations mean YMMV. ;)

On my 03 I run it. I have done back to back testing with the same load on the same run. I did not have any loss in the low end but did have lower EGTs by 100* while running it so I run it.

I have it on my 03 as well but I may need to go back to the factory one. If I turn my VA box up it makes boost to fast and I'm worried for my turbo! Hoping the stock one will let the waste gate open quicker and lower the boost numbers some. Running the VA box on the 1st setting with the EZ on 3 it works great, 34 psi everytime!

Mine is a 04 (305/555) with 3. 73's and a 48re. I guess I have made some sense out of it (well the only theroy I have). Fuel = power (boost doesn't), so I guess without the elbow I am get more fuel than air on the low end than what the boost elbow would allow.

I will try to find my previous post about the results I have had with and without the elbow.

well, I installed the fitting. I was able to reach 1350 degrees empty with only 23 lbs. of boost and that was a 0 to 70 run. I can now run 0 to 85 with 33 lbs. of boost and never exceed 1200 degrees. I felt no loss of low end power and it seems to be smoother.
