I just had an EZ box installed in my 02 QC last month and love it. The guy that put it in told me that with just that box, I shouldnt have any problems with my automatic transmission, even pulling my 4K lb trailer in OD.

I think I might be interested in upgrading my torque converter anyway. If I do, will I notice any improvement in torqe over what I have now ? Is it worth it ?

OOOHHHHHHH yah big difference. An aftermarket TC and valve body is probably the best thing I ever done to the truck. You will not have any more power once in OD than you already have but it will hold the power better without tareing up the transmission. The fluid coupleing from 0 to cruiseing speed is where the new TC shines. It makes it feel like you have more power because of better fluid coupleing and you do because more HP is going to the ground instead of causeing heat from a loose converter.

I have a BD PressureLoc in the classifieds, it will help make sure you have full lockup pressure at lower speeds/throttle position. Your can read more about it on the BD website. Just something to consider. I removed it when I upgraded my transmission with a new converter/vb.
