EZ Down

[Prairie Dog]

Has anybody tried the EZ down tailgate thingy available at Genos?
I'm wondering if it makes the tailgate any harder to lift and close. Do you have to compress the cylinder?

Prairie Dog,

My boss has had one on his last two trucks. It does a great job os stopping the slam down of the "dropped" tailgate. It offers no assist nor resistance to lifting the tailgate.

My only experience is with the Hopkins Tailgate Easylift spring. It is one of the best accessories that I have on my truck, even my wife is able to open and close the tailgate effortlessly.
