EZ Edge and HY35 Turbo

Has anybody put an EZ Edge on a truck with an HY35 Turbo? I keep hearing that the boost elbow that comes with it can not be used. What did you do about that? Is there another type of elbow that will work?

There are several ways around it. If you like the EZ buy it with no worries. If you can't find an idea or anything I have a spring I can send you (compliments of StakeMan) and you can use it with some wire to "delay" the opening of the wastegate... giving you the boost level you seek.



If the EZ is the only thing your adding it is not an absolute requirement to "up the boost". Although its handy to lower the EGT's a bit.

I used the turn buckle method, of course not on my truck as that would void my warranty, on a friends truck. I bought two small turn buckles and took out the bolt that holds the two steel cooling lines together right there by the alternator then put in a longer bolt the attach the first turn buckle. One buckle I got with eyes at both ends and the other with a hooks at both ends to clamp on the wastegate and the other turn buckle. I used two because its not a straight shot and it worked well. If I had a digital camera I'd take some pictures for you. The truck has 33lbs of boost with the just the ez box and cheated wastegate, normally its around 27 or 28, not sure why this one developes so much, but not unhappy about it.
