I have a buddy looking at trading in his 01 Gasser for a 02 Cummins (I know I told him to get the diesel too, oh well live and learn) Couple of questions. 245 & 465 is this what the Auto power is rated? And if so how does that compare with the Powder Stroke? And what does the PE comp or EZ gain you (Approx. ) and what ball park cost are they?

Darren

Auto and five speed are rated at 235/460

Six Speed is rated at 245/505

Powerstroke I think is rated at 235/500

IMO, factory ratings do not mean all that much. .

6 speed Fords are 250hp and I think they are upto 275hp if I recall correctly. The autos were bumped to 250hp I believe on the Fords.

The new 275 HP PSD will stomp any stock Dodge you drive. It may not be the puller that the ETH is but empty to empty there is no comparison, it is an apples to apples comparison as they are both 6 speed only. The PSD auto is very similar in power to the stock Dodge, even though it is rated at 250 HP vs 235 hP for the Dodge.

The EZ will get you about 40 HP and 100 Ft/Lbs peak gain, the Comp will get you 100HP/300Ft/Lbs+++. If your buddy is getting an auto plan on a couple grand to get the transmission ready for any more than the EZ, the comp will kill the auto in a hurry. EZ is ballpark $550 and the Comp is ballpark $650. Sales get them both $50 or a bit more cheaper.

Thank you to everyone that responded..... it looks like he may actually get it... "EZ is ballpark $550 and the Comp is ballpark $650. Sales get them both $50 or a bit more cheaper. "

Wooo Glad I have a 12 valve... . :D :D
