Do I need to remove EZ before going to dealer for oil change?...

Help, what is the best build for this engine vs cost to get 300hp

Thinking about getting an Edge EZ. For the EZ, do you make any mods for the Turbo wastegate operation or is this just for larger fueling boxes (COMP, etc)?

Thanks for your time.

Seeing that you have a 5 spd you will be able to use the boost elbow that comes with the EZ. Try it... ... you'll like it:D

If your going to tow anything, you will probably want to put the boost elbow in to get the extra 4-6lbs of boost. It will help to keep your temps down when loaded and taking on a steep hill... ;)

It doesn't matter for the '99 year truck whether or not it is an Automatic. Auto's and sticks both can use the elbow on this year.

Can I use the elbow on my 98. 5? I am pondering too. .

I believe you can. My stock '99 with an automatic has an elbow with a rubber hose going to. It is the newer trucks that are different or are hardlined and require the turnbuckle method. Remember... . you must have a boost module otherwise your truck will see an over-boost code. Oo.

EZ

So all I have to do is replace the boost elbow with the one supplied? Sweet!!:D :D

Will the EZ prevent the setting of the over-boost code or is there another over-boost module I need to prevent setting the code?

If you use the EZ-supplied boost elbow, the EZ will inhibit overboost codes when you plug the EZ in series with the MAP sensor connector - it has a boost module built in.

We installed the EZ (with boost elbow) and Jardine 4" exhaust the same weekend, so I don't know how much each contributed, but the results were as follows when towing our 13,500 GVWR 5ver:

Stock:

Max pre-turbo EGT: 1250-1300 degF

Max boost: 22 PSIG

With EZ & Jardine 4" exhaust:

Max pre-turbo EGT: 1050-1100 degF

Max boost: 32 PSIG
