I plugged in my new EZ a week ago & I just got the fuel pressure gauge hooked up. I set the jumper on the EZ to the mild setting. I'm seeing a little puff of smoke if I get on the throttle at low RPM's but if I hesitate a moment everything looks clean. Throttle response is way up & the boost goes right up to 30 psi if I'm on it heavy. Fuel pressure runs 10-13 at idle & cruise. I managed to pull it down to near 4 psi one time climbing a freeway entrance ramp at wot in 4th. I can't get the egt over 1,000. Even with this new power beckoning I logged about 1 mpg more on my last fill. :D This truck sure is fun.

With my EZ installed I idle @ 14+ and cant pull it below 8 WOT on a hill while towing. you might need a new LP.

I decided to go with the FASS about two months ago rather than buying more lift pumps. Solid 15-18 PSI. Now my VP44 is well fed and I sleep better. :)

I appreciate the warnings on weak lift pumps. Mine is not as strong as I was hoping but I've done a lot of reading on the subject & I don't think I need panic at this point. I tried WOT a couple more times today. I could only pull the pressure down to about 6 psi. My factory service manual states that 5 psi is minimum acceptable pressure at idle. Apparently damage to the VP doesn't occure 'till the pressure drops to 0. I'm a long ways from that point but I'll be keeping an eye on the pressure to see if the pump is weakening.
