Horsepower wise, you will see nothing from the extra boost, what you will see with the extra boost is lower EGT's. There are several methods of disabling the wastegate on your turbo, do a search, they are plentiful
I've had an EZ about 3 months now. It was my only mod. I ran it the first 2 months without the boost elbow. After I hooked up the elbow I noticed no difference in seat of the pants feel. While towing with the elbow installed the egt is slightly cooler. Maybe 50 degrees. After that I added a BHAF. I saw no difference in egt or performance with that. After I get the 4"exh system on, my next step is to go to Stage II injectors. Since I periodicly tow a heavy load and don't have a lead foot that will probably be my last performance step. Well maybe a different turbo or FMS or ???
Really the only thing I wanted to accomplish, was to regain the power I lost when the dealer de-tuned my truck with some EPA recall back in late 1998. But now I figure the 2003 models will have 300 hp so why shouldn't I?
When I installed the EZ with the boost elbow (I know - yours is an automatic so that doesn't apply), I added the Jardine 4" exhaust system the same weekend, so I can't tell you how much difference is due to the EZ/elbow and how much is due to the reduced backpressure. I had already installed the BHAF - didn't make much difference by itself. In addition to the substantial improvement in mid-range torque, we saw the following changes when towing our 13,500 lb 5ver:
