Fuel Injectors additives

Its Alive!!!

just thought that some mite be interested in my results, installed yesterday and all i can say is its awesome so far.

1st starts a lot quicker

2nd motor noise is a lot quieter

3rd fuel pressures were 25 and 35 now close to 40 at idle and near 55 at 1500 no load.

4th and probably the most important to me is the bottom end power that it gave it (timing set at 14. 5)

5th smoother motor all across the board

6th in my motor it made an extra 3 lb of boost

i will let you know next week if there are any mileage improvements to be gained from it but so far i would say its one of the best improvements that i have made to the truck, great product and great people also.

i was getting air in the system all the time,i replaced everything and still would get some air through the clear line that i installed.

Let me dredge up this 3mo old thread... .

Any updates on the FASS system for the 12v guys? TDR research is all pointing towards this being a great setup... but for $600 - I'd like to be real sure before dropping that much money!

Thanks,

Jay

Piers is sending me down a FASS system also for very much the same reasons.

Air and fuel leaks, I figure its cheaper to just remove the entire system and replace it with something better than chase down all the problems costing me time and parts.

Hope it works as good as Keith's.

I'm working that day. ;)

so far all is well i have not touched it since i put it in other than a different spring to get the fuel pressure up where i wanted it and a fuel pressure gage, still working great.

If you have a 12 valve you will need to purchace an additional spring to increase the pressure. The pump is only good for 15 lbs as supplied. No one told me about this in advance, so it cost me about $20. 00 more with freight. I hope that this will save someone else the $$. It is a very well buillt unit, and looks like it will stand up for a long time.

I am still trying to figure out why someone would get rid of a rock solid reliable MECHANICAL lift pump to go to a elctric LP that has windings and brushes that WILL go out at some point. Heck, I envy the 12 valvers for their LP setup.

Isn't the FASS just a big rig lift pump that incorporates a filter and some air thingy that probably does no good. Why not just pick up a LP for a semi at a big rig shop and save 400 dollars. No offense meant... ... I just cannot fathom spending that much money for another "electric" lift pump and then have to crawl under the truck to change the filter "to boot".

Yeah, but that point is MANY MANY miles down the road. ANyone yet hear of a FASS/Preporator failure????

The removal of entrained air is the only reason to go with the FASS on a 12V. It's a nice package. the 24V guys have the reliability issues that the FASS seems to solve (so far, so good, most users report. )
